The Ship Auger Drill bit is used for deep boring work in large
timber. The cutting head can be sharpened many times for quick
clean boring and longer life. They are manufactured from heat
treated high carbon steel and can be used in drilling
applications where small nails and other foreign materials may be
encountered. The deep throat design allows for fast and
continuous flow of chips.
( Fractional Sizes: 1/4" to 1" in 7-1/2" and
18" of overall length ).

The precision ground hex shank will provide a positive grip between the drill chuck and the drill bit. Rapid penetration is possible even with the hardest woods.
